Day #44 things are starting to come together
Despite the fact that I am sick, today was a good day so far. This morning we got together with are supervisors, and counterparts. I will be working at the Grenada school for special ed in the Lime community. My school has 67 kids, 10 teachers and 2 volunteers. The kids range from age 4-20. I am going to be working all over the school with different arts and crafts. They have a wood working area, home economics and sports center for the kids to work at so I will be helping all of those areas. Tomorrow will be my fist day on the sight. I got lucky because the priceable of the school lives in the same town as I do so she said she can give me a ride tomorrow, that would be much appreciated. They are having a sports day that is kind of the like US special Olympics so that should be exiting to see. I left training a bit early so that I could rest, I when up to my host mothers shop and she gave me sup for lunch, my host father was in town so he gave me a ride home. When I got home i started to eat my sup and I realized that the meat that I was eating was not something I had had before, it was good so I ate all of it before I asked what it was. It was pig snout. I have one thing to say. I will try anything once and if it is something that is strange or not commonly made in the US I don't want to know what it is. If I like it don't tell me what it is, if I don't like it then you can tell me. Any ways I am just relaxing for a bit and then I think my host father is going to take me out to see some of the sights. My host father took me to 2 of the other parishes on the island St. David and St. Andrews, we went to see one of the waterfalls, we saw some monkeys and we went to the lack it was a nice trip around the island although their is 7 parishes on Grenada I have now seen 3 I live in St. Georges.
