It was a long but good May Day. When I got up I worked on the house some more and then made some tamarind juice from the pods that I peeled yesterday. I also started to watch Nurse Jackie. I had a lot of down time today, no busses running and the parish where the celebration was is to far away for me to get to when the busses are not running. Around 2 I started chopping and getting all of my ingredients ready for dinner. I had both my dance teachers come they are brother and sister. It was a nice simple pasta dish with a side salad. We talked listened to music and danced around a bit. Then latter that evening one of my Peace Corps friends came over and she plays the drums, sings and plays guitar so we had a little jam session going. It was a fun night. Its funny because I have only been here less than 2months and I feel like I have known these people a life time. Its like the group of friends I always wanted but never had its amazing, such a good growing opportunity for me. Its incredible here, the sprite of the people and the island is outstanding. I cant wait for friends and family to come down here and have a breath of fresh, loving, happy beautiful energy that Grenada has to offer that I can say is much different from the U.S.
Sweet Sweet dreams everyone
