Friday 6/7/13
School was so much fun today the kids started off the day by playing games. I worked with one of the girls on finishing her camp GLOW application, this year for the camp we are going to try and have more special ed girls to help promote awareness. Any ways after that it was time for the dancer-size. We are trying to do something different with the kids each friday, they seamed to like it a lot. When I got home I worked my my pup on sitting, for something so small and young he's smart, he picked up on sitting fast. Then I got ready for going dancing. I was worried about leaving him but because he knows where to go potty and I waited for him o fall a sleep before I left he ended up being good. My up stairs neighbor said that she didn't hear him cry at all. When I got back the house was silent and he was a sleep. I think that he's going to be a grate pet. I also had a good night at the Spice basket it was quiet but nice.

Day # 135 Teaching my first class ( Secondary color making)
Thursday 6/6/13
Today was a grate day I woke up next to my little ball of joy and got ready for work. When I got to work I started getting ready to teach. Today is the big day, every thursday I will be teaching about 20 kids arts and crafts. It was so grate. I started off by explaining to the kids that we where going to use the primary colors to make secondary colors and different sheets of paper. We got all of the colors mixed and out in the sun in plenty of time to clean up the room. All of the kids had a grate time. Some of them are at different levels but for the most part they all completed the first part, making the colors. I think that because I only have and hour and a half with the kids most of my projects will be spread over a few weeks time. I want to start at the basics and work up to bigger assignments for next years art show. Any ways when I got home I gave my new puppy Joker a bath, oh man does he have some of the worst puppy breath. He also got a shot today so he is all sleepy and sore. Nothing ells much going on tonight class is canceled because the teacher just got back from the salsa convention in Trinidad yesterday. But Friday I will be dancing.

Day # 134 Puppies
Wednesday 6/5/13
Today started off rough because on my way to work I found a puppy that was sick and crying. So I picked him up and didn't know what to do with it, but I knew that I couldn't leave it their like that. So I decided to wait for the mother to come back and see what she would do. When the mother came back she took it and hid it. They cal the street dogs here pothogs. It was sad but I know that is life. Any ways I went to work and worked some more on some lesson plans. When I got home I cooked some stew chicken and laid down for a nap. When I got up I was surprised because my friend had come over and brought me a surprise. It was a puppy of my own. little cream colored thing with bright blue eyes 7 weeks old, hes so small . It was a god end so the start of a bad day. I think its going to be nice to have him for company. All have some help during the day with him until he is trained. I am home every day its just some nights in the evenings that I am out.

Day # 133 Dumplings
Tuesday 6/4/13
Today I started brain storming what ells I could do with the kids, I have to come up with a final project as well. So I spent a lot of my day working on getting organized so I can make lesson plans. During my lunch brake i went to get my hair cut at the salon close to where I work. I was scared that they would not be abel to cut my hair the way that I wanted it but they did a grate job. It was nice to go and do that. I do miss having my mom or best girl friend to go with but soon I am sure that I will have one of those. After lunch I helped the new PE teacher work with some of the children who have autism. We are working with them on sliding, kicking around a boll small stuff but things that we can do to get them active. it was a lot of fun. Any ways After work I went by the store so that i could get some amazing garlic herb flower so I could make my dumplings for the sup that I loved so much. Man was it simple. You just burst the pees as they say here, cut up everything you want to put in it, season the chicken, and boil it down. So simple but yet soo good. I will post a pick soon so that you can all see what it looks like. Its just sup but amazing flavors. So I am a satisfied full person right now let me tell you.

Monday 6/ 3 /13
Today was the first day of the school getting back on track after the art show, but I was exited to start thinking about what I am going to teach in my art class. I don't know any details yet about where or what time I will be teaching but I do know that I want to start off with the color wheel. I want to build up slow with the kids and have a final project like I did when I was going to school for my Associates in Fine Arts. Its funny how all of the classes that I took drove me crazy in one way or another and now I am going back to them and remembering why those teachers did what they did. So I am exited to get started and see what end results that the kids come out with. After school I headed home for a nice relaxing night :)

Day # 131 Carnival kick off!!!!!!!
Saturday 6/1/13
Today was a long day, I started off by getting up early to pay some bills, and then took the long buss ride to Gren Vill to have lunch with a friends family. This morning while I was waiting for the buss, I looked around and saw some of the most beautiful things about Grenada. Because its Saturday all of the street venders where out selling their fresh home grown produce. The old woman chopping up coconuts for people to drink and the smell of sea water was breath taking. Then to add a touch of a smile to brighten my wait a bus pulled up with a ball of crabs hanging out the window. Now can I ask where have you seen that? I know I have not been to every state in the U.S. but I have never seen that. It was a grate feeling to love where I am and realize how amazing it is here. Although the ride was long their was no one on the buss and the air was crisp and cool as we drove through the hills. When we got to my friends house we had strait from the garden water melons with the seeds waiting for us, boy was that cool and refreshing. Then for lunch we had sup that was better than any chicken sup I have ever had. It was split pee, turkey, dumpling ground provisions. Wow was it good and next time I get sick I want that. I cant wait to learn how to make that. After that we headed deeper into Gren Vill so I could meet up with a woman that I did a cultural adaptation interview, I had to sign the release form. From there we headed back to St. Georges. Today is also the kick off for carnival, that means that all of the bands that are gong to be pro forming during carnival where announced and pro formed, they also went over the schedule. Carnival has many different part to it and goes for two days straight. People here are night owls so people don't sleep for carnival. I am hoping to play in carnival this year it means all have a costume that matches a certain band as they call them. Any ways I crashed like a baby when I got home before I started to get ready for the latin part tonight. The night is not over yet and I know its going to be a late one. I know all be sleeping in tomorrow. Also today is the big Night Night All

Day # 130 Soccer
Friday 5/31/13
Sports is a big thing down here so today I got to play soccer with the kids and the new PE teacher. She is very nice and knows her stuff. We worked on passing the ball to each other and working as a team. It was a fun day. Its been raining here so much I love it but its now very humid. After school I went home and started getting ready to go out dancing but plans changed and I ended up doing my first official lime. A lime is when you go and hang out with people. We went up the street to a small cook out. It was a nice change of atmosphere. We had what you call a bubble up, its when you cook something such as fish in a bubbling broth with seasoning. I also spent some time with one of my friends girlfriends. It was nice to just sit back and relax for the night. The bad/good thing was we had to walk home after. But we made it safe and sound, plus its cooler at night and a good work out.
